Moonlight Hike

Sympathy, Birthday and Halloween Scrapbook Page 004

“Delicious autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird

I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.”

-George Eliot

  • Good Morning from Stamping Peace!  We’re getting ready to take our Boy Scouts on a moonlight hike tonight.  We’re going to hike to the top of a small mountain, make a campfire and cook some hot chocolate.  Hopefully we’ll see the full moon if the clouds break!  Speaking of moons, check out this moon on the scrapbooking page we made at my friend Beth’s stamping event.  It was punched with a 2 1/2″ circle punch.  The ghosts were punched with the owl punch (just cut their feet off and turn them upside down.)   The little bats were punched with the butterfly punch (just cut off their bottom wings) and the letter “o’s” were punched with the large oval punch (Beth had “spooky on her page).   Thanks for the great tips Beth, now let’s just see if I can get some pictures onto the page.  It will be the very first scrapbook page that I have ever made!  I’ll repost it when it is finished.  : )  Oh, I almost forgot, the stamp set is “Best of Halloween.”  And I did forget to take a picture of our stamping group last night.  We started a half hour early so that everyone could get home early now that it’s dark at 6:00 p.m., but we ended up staying a half hour past our normal departure time!    Don’t we just love to gather and stamp and chat!!!  Thanks for coming over girls!  : )

  1. WOW that is so funny that you started earlier and left later than usual. So true, so true. When friends get together time has a habit of flying by. Love the card and the ghost and bat hints. Thanks a bunch! 🙂

  2. Thanks Dawn for letting me come and hour late and do all the great projects. It is always so nice to be able to enjoy everyone company. Fantastic hot cider and apple crisp.

  3. Hi Dawn,
I like this scrapbook page, and was really surprised to read that you’ve never made one before, because I haven’t either! That gives me the feeling that maybe this is the one I should start with. If I can get my two little grandsons to hold still long enough for a couple of decent photos, I’d like to begin scrapping this cute Halloween page.

  4. Hi Kathy! Oh, you have grandsons…what a blessing. You’re giving me incentive to dig out old Halloween pictures of my three boys! My youngest, Joseph, was born with Down’s Syndrome and although he is almost 18, he has a young spirit and still dresses up every year. He wants to be a skunk this year, but not sure if that is going to happen! Have fun with your little guys and good luck with your scrapbook page. : )
