“God loves us.”
Good Evening from Stamping Peace. That is what I am truly grateful for. The fact that God loves us. It makes everything better and everything okay and everything worth hoping for. One of my brothers said that my blog is too religious, so I’ll keep it at that! : ) What are you truly grateful for?
I’m posting tonight because early tomorrow morning we are off for a Boy Scout camp-out at Camp Roosevelt. This is JOTA (Jamboree on the Air) week-end, when scouts around the world pair up with ham operators and radio one another. Two years ago we were able to contact the space station! The astronauts were delighted to speak with the boys. : )
This card, a Mary Fish design (over at stampingpretty.com), was one of our projects at our stamping classes this week. It’s a very vanilla base, with another piece of very vanilla on top of that. The center pane, which is raised on dimensionals and is not centered, sports a crumb cake base. The stamp set is “Truly Grateful” and the ink colors are crumb cake, pumpkin spice and early espresso. The bakers twine is early espresso. The card folds at the top, not at the side.
Speaking of Truly Grateful, our family has a children’s book called “Grateful” that is one of our all-time favorites. The book is written by John Bucchino, illustrated by Anna-Liisa Hakkarainen and recorded as a song by Art Garfunkel. The CD of the song comes with the book. I highly recommend it! : )
Happy Stamping this week-end!
