“Be anxious for NOTHING, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with THANKSGIVING,let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Good Morning and Welcome to Stamping Peace. Yesterday I only had about 20 minutes in the stampuary, so I pulled out the envelope punch board and started to make envelopes for some of our over-sized Thanksgiving cards. I’m still amazed at that little invention! Four punches and four scores and voila…an envelope! : )
The reason I wasn’t able to stamp yesterday is because my oldest son, Jonathan, had an appointment at an eye specialist down in Waterville. Today he’s at the hospital for bloodwork to rule out an autoimmune disease and tomorrow he’s back at the hospital for an MRI to rule out a brain tumor. Thanks be to God for all the great medical staff and facilities that we have! We’re very grateful to all those in the medical profession. : ) Jonathan, at age 25, has never had bloodwork done, so hopefully he is faring well!
This is a quick post today, but here’s a couple of the boys favorite Thanksgiving books from their growing up years.”A Turkey for Thanksgiving” by Eve Bunting and illustrated by Diane de Groat, and “Cranberry Thanksgiving” by Wende and Harry Devlin. We got these books way back when the older boys were about 5 and 3, when “I Love Books” was open. We would go in and Betsy would offer us a hot drink and I thought it was a little piece of heaven. The first time I read “A Turkey for Thanksgiving” we all had tears in our eyes near the end!
And this is our family movie selection for this week-end. We got this years ago at a visit with the boys to Plimouth Plantation in Massachusetts… “The Desperate Crossing…the untold story of the Mayflower.”
Have a good day everyone,
