Hot Chocolate Slider 006

“…how truly is a kind heart a fountain of gladness, making everything in its vicinity to freshen into smiles!”

-Washington Irving

Good Morning from Stamping Peace.  We made these fun little gifts at our stamping classes yesterday, and there is a kind heart out there that just called and asked me to make twelve of them for her kindergarten class.  When the ribbon is untied and is tugged upon, up pops the package of cocoa.  Won’t the children have fun with them!   To make them, cut a piece of cardstock 7 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 3  5/8″ and 1/2″ from the end.  Fold and attach with sticky strip on the side and on the bottom.  The Designer Series Paper is 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″.   The solid cardstock behind the snowman is 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and the cardstock that the snowman is on is 2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″.  The Stamps sets are A Snow Day and a Banner Christmas.  Punch a hole in the top and thread a 16″ piece of ribbon through the hole.  Push the ribbon down with the hot chocolate packet and tie a bow at the top.  Emboss the bottom edge with an embossing folder of your choice to give it a finished look.

Happy Gifting!

  1. Dawn, I don’t have time to make all these great things you’re showing! But this is a keeper and all four GK love hot chocolate. Doesn’t seem like it takes very long. We are expected to have sleet and snow starting tonight so I’ll sure be in this weekend. Oh good grief, I’d better get busy!
