Poinsettia Card

Poinsetta Card 003

“For somehow, not only at Christmas, but all the long year through, the joy that you give to others is the joy that comes back to you.”

~John Greenleaf Whittier

Good Morning from Stamping Peace.  Isn’t this card a beauty!  It is pictured in Stampin’ Up’s holiday catalog and was the choice of our newest Stamping Peace Stamper for his Christmas cards.  Yes, we have a gentlemen in our midst!  : )   He came over Monday night to use the Big Shot (in return I got to use his gold ink pad)  and to make these cards, so I made two myself.   The poinsetta is from the “Joyful Christmas” stamp set and is embossed with gold embossing powder, as is the silver Frosted Finishes Embellishment in the center.  The “merry” is cut out with the Expressions thinlets and  gold foil paper (remember to use waxed paper between the thinlet and the foil or cardstock for an easier time of removing the letters.)  The Whisper White cardstock (4″ x 4″) is embossed with the Pretty Print Embossing Folder and sponged with gold ink.  There is another piece of white cardstock under that piece and it is 4 1/4″ square.  The base for the card is 5″ x 10″.   All of these supplies are from the Holiday Catalog which expires at the end of the month, so please let me know if you need anything.

This was the Stamping Peace table at the Holiday Marketplace last Saturday.  : )

Have a beautiful day, and don’t forget to leave a comment so that you will be in the running for some blog candy.  Last month’s gift was a package of cherry cobbler cardstock.  : )

  1. Wow, this is a beautiful card. Love the gold embossing background and the pretty Merry. How nice that a gentleman has joined in the fun. Dawn, your table was great. So much variety and nice display.

  2. Love the poinsettia card!! I still have the gold ink from years ago (my former Stampin’ Up experience). Will have to check it out with the stamp and touching up the embossed background! P.S. Laura said you could drop off the Blog Candy at the Machias Savings Bank in Brewer and she’ll get it if you leave her name on it. Thank you for SO much!

  3. Hi Dawn, Love the poinsettia especially with the gold. (I do see it is on sale this week.) Maybe I should pick some up. Thanks a bunch. 🙂
