God Bless You Baby James!

Baptism Card 001

“Know what it is to be a child?  It is to be very different from the man of today.  It is to have a spirit yet streaming from the waters of baptism; it is to believe in love, to believe in loveliness, to believe in belief…”

~Francis Thompson

We heard from three more designers over at the Merry Monday Challenge…welcome to Stamping Peace Nina, Debbie and Karen!  Check out their Christmas cards over at http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.ca. and join in the fun of making a Christmas card every Monday!

I made today’s card for this week-end’s Baptism of my friend’s first grandchild.   May God grant him all the blessings of His gentle love!   The basic idea for the card came from the 2012 Stampin’ Up! catalog but the idea for the ribbon came from a box that we got for Christmas.  The ribbon was threaded all around the box and I thought it was pretty clever.  It could be all the rage for all I know, for I’m not a shopper (never went to the Mall once before Christmas!) but  I thought it was a nice addition to the card.  Unfortunately, the Crosses of Hope stamp set is retired, but the background stamp is from the “From My Heart” stamp set  (I turned the stamp upside down).

Hope you can stamp some peace today,

Dawn

  1. Love the aqua with the kraft. I like the ribbon threaded through. I haven’t seen that either. Candy got here fine. We didn’t have mail delivery for two days because of the snow. That’s the first time I’ve ever known that to happen. Had to take hubby for dr. appt. yesterday and it was here when we got home. What a nice surprise. Thanks again.
