First Children’s Class Today!

Valentine Cards 007

“A joyful heart is the inevitable result of a heart burning with love.”

~Mother Teresa

Good Morning!   This afternoon is our first children’s class…5 third grade girls!  I grew up with three brothers and had three sons, so I’m really excited to have some girls in the house.  We’re going to start out with this little project, using the Scallop Trim Border Punch to make the “lace” on the side,  the Tags 4 You Stamp Set and the Label Bracket Punch.  We’ll also use the Scoring Tool and Bone Folder for the crease and the Envelope Punch Board to round the corners.  The girls will get a feel for many different tools on their first project.  On Monday I’ll post the other project they will be making.   I couldn’t figure out the color of the pink in this Fresh Prints DSP Stack paper so I called our friendly Demonstrator Support Line and ta da…it’s not one of our stamp colors, it’s a variation of the Real Red.  This is Melon Mambo on the tag, but we’ll have to try some different colors and see what works best.

Hope you have a happy heart today!

  1. What a cute card. It’s so much fun for the girls to come and make their own valentines. My granddaughters love to do this and my youngest can do the cricut better than I can. It’s nice your class can learn how to do all those techniques and use the tools. They will be so proud of their cards.

    • They loved it Sue. They loved being together, having cookies and drinks and stamping Valentines! They even had time to make envelopes and decorate a letter to their parents. It was great!
