“A Boy Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.”
Those of you that know me “in person” know that I am very involved in Boy Scouts. I was the Scoutmaster for St. Paul the Apostle Parish Troop #17 for the past four years, and this year am volunteering as Assistant Scoutmaster. For the first three years of summer Boy Scout Camp our friend Wyatt would come from Massachusetts Troop #8 and join our troop of three Scouts (who all had disabilities). Wyatt was so great with the boys, helping as much as he could while still participating in his own classes. We absolutely loved having him with us…he has one of those “larger than life” personalities. This week-end he advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouting. We congratulate you Wyatt!
The “Cub Scout Blue” (Marina Mist and the “Boy Scout Green” (Old Olive) frame was made with # 3and #5 (blue) and #4 and #7 (green) Square Framelit. I number the framelits with a sharpie, with the largest being #1. The frame is raised on three sides (leaving the top open to insert a photo) with the leftover side strips of the Stampin’ Up! dimensionals, and the medallion is raised with dimensionals stacked two high on the outer edges. I made one mistake…I attached the pennant before writing on it and misjudged the distance, leaving too much white space on the right (hence the arrow). Live and learn! Pax, Dawn
