Stamping Classes

Memo Pad Covers 001

“To be thrown upon one’s own resources, is to be cast into the very lap of fortune: For our faculties then undergo a development and display an energy of which they were previously unsusceptible.”

~Benjamin Franklin

We had some new friends join our blogging family over the past week….a very warm welcome Mrs. Slocum, Stephanie E., Columbian Cuties, Bridget, Sheryl and “L”.   May you be blessed with some helpful stamping inspiration from time to time here at Stamping Peace. (or wellness or gardening info!)  Today I started to prepare for our stamping classes that will be held this Friday (childrens) and next Mon. and Tues. (adults) and made these cute little memo pad covers.  They were my first attempt at choosing projects for our classes.   Usually I have everything planned out a month in advance but I was so tied up with the Garden Show with my son that I got behind in my stamping plans.  So, it remains to be seen what our projects will actually be!  Right now the Monday morning and Monday evening classes are totally full.  There are openings for Tuesday morning and two openings for Tuesday evening.  Please let me know if you’d like to join a class!  (Note:  the evening classes are switching back to 7:00 p.m. instead of our winter hours of 6:30 p.m.)  Hope to see you next week!  Dawn  P.S.  Measurements for the memo pad covers…solid base color – 6 7/8″ x 3 1/4″ scored at 3 1/4″ and 3 5/8″.  The corners were rounded with the Envelope Punch Board.  The solid banners were cut out with the Banners Framelit Dies.  The Designer Series Paper measures 3″ x 3″ and just the bottom two corners are rounded.  The sentiment was stamped from the Perfect Pennants stamp set.

  1. Oh my!! These look just like the post-it note holders I made and gave out as workshop gifts in March!! I also put a piece of coordinating paper in an RSVP pen to match each holder. Still have a few left for the HOBO crew that wasn’t able to come! These will be fun to make and personalize at a workshop! Have a wonderful time!
