Flower Patch 001

“Love the life you live, live the life you love.”

I hope you had an awesome 4th of July week-end!  We had a four day week-end, which on Sunday included our Oblate group’s annual BBQ for the Feast of St. Benedict.   Part of the life I love is that I’m an oblate with the Transfiguration Hermitage…

…which means that I’m a lay person who shares some of the studies (and discussions) of the Sisters, shares the daily prayers of the hermitage (from home because the hermitage and chapel are an hour and fifteen minutes from me)…

and participates in the work of God in our community.  It’s all very beautiful and very peaceful!

What did you do over the week-end?  : )

Today’s card came straight from the Stampin’ Up! catalog and is made with the new “Flower Patch” stamp set.  It was too plain to me, so I raised the large flower up on dimensionals (and used the coordinating dies to the stamp set), and added some pearls.  It’s still a little too plain for my tastes, but we’ll keep experimenting!  Peace, Dawn

  1. Good Morning Dawn, What a great way to end a long weekend. I think the card is a definite “keep on hand card” for many occasions. 🙂

  2. Joe bought a loaf of their cinnamon raisin bread after mass a couple of weeks ago…to die for!!!
I like the card, but I think there is too much white space…..

  3. I don’t think it is plain at all. You are definitely a candidate for “Up selling”, you go for all the bling. Don’t get me wrong, I think you make beautiful cards and you amaze me with the fluff that you add. I need to invest in fluff! I learn a lot just by reading this blog. Nice job Dawn.
