So many cards are coming out with the new Flower Patch stamp set, and all of them are beautiful! This card is a Becky Roberts design and is quite easy to make compared to the card we are making at classes this week (see yesterday’s post). I made it for team member Sue’s birthday. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY SUE!!! The tangerine tango candy dot adds a little “pop” along with the Hello Honey, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay flowers. Gotta run, two more stamping classes today…come join us if you can! Peace and Flower Power, Dawn.

This is one of the cards we will be making…a variation of a Becky Roberts design using the new Flower Patch stamp set. Come make the perfect card for any summer occasion!
“Friendship improves happiness, and abates misery, by doubling our joys and dividing our grief.”
Meet “Miss Pat” (on the right) who arrived yesterday from California. We went to college together and have been friends for 35 years! We’ll be vacationing (and stamping) for the next few days. See you on Monday! Have a GREAT week-end! Peace, Dawn
I hope you had an awesome 4th of July week-end! We had a four day week-end, which on Sunday included our Oblate group’s annual BBQ for the Feast of St. Benedict. Part of the life I love is that I’m an oblate with the Transfiguration Hermitage…
…which means that I’m a lay person who shares some of the studies (and discussions) of the Sisters, shares the daily prayers of the hermitage (from home because the hermitage and chapel are an hour and fifteen minutes from me)…
and participates in the work of God in our community. It’s all very beautiful and very peaceful!
This is Sr. Elizabeth and Sr. Bernadette, who founded the Transfiguration Hermitage.
What did you do over the week-end? : )
Today’s card came straight from the Stampin’ Up! catalog and is made with the new “Flower Patch” stamp set. It was too plain to me, so I raised the large flower up on dimensionals (and used the coordinating dies to the stamp set), and added some pearls. It’s still a little too plain for my tastes, but we’ll keep experimenting! Peace, Dawn

Mark, our lone “man stamper” on the Stamping Peace Leadership Team, sure got this card (above) right for the 4th of July! From the sentiment, to the stars and stripes, to the borders, this is a HAPPY 4th card! And Terry’s card (below) just shouts HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA as well! She used the Simply Stars (retired) set and the Stripes Embossing Folder. I love how she tore the edge in the front to add another layer of dimension. GREAT card Terry! The card below hers was made by Sue. She made it for our team challenge as well as for the chaplain at our hospital. He is from Tanzania and just became an American citizen. He always has a twinkle in his eye, and now it’s shining even brighter! That owl sure makes a cute Uncle Sam, Sue. : ) Have a safe and enjoyable 4th my friends!
HOORAY for today!!! This SUPER-CUTE card was made by Mimi for our Stamping Peace Team Leaders Challenge (to make a card with stars on it.) She made it with the new Geometrical stamp set (the sentiment and the triangles) which is on page 141 in the Stampin’ Up! catalog. Mimi also used the Storybook Friends stamp set (retired, but hopefully we all have a friend from whom we may borrow it from!) : ) She used the Triangle Punch and the Star Mini-Punch, and the cardstocks are Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White. Special thanks to Mimi for gifting me her adorable creation. This is going to be hard to give away Mimi. Cute, cute, cute!!!
Our Stamping Peace Leadership Team has a Team Challenge going on, to make a card with stars on it, and this was Demonstrator Beth Mills’ entry. Wow, it POPS! Beth used papers from the June Paper Pumpkin Kit, as well as Night of Navy, Real Red, Dazzling Diamonds and Shimmering White paper with the new “Be the Star” stamp set on page 93 in the Stampin’ Up! catalog. She used three Embossing Folders, the Arrows, the Chevron and the Decorative Dots, along with the Itty Bitty Accent Punch for the little star, and she used the new Star Framelits to cut out the larger stars. The sentiment is from one of the stamps included in the June Paper Pumpkin kit and was cut out with the Window Punch. AWESOME card, Beth…you’re shining!!!
