“It is in the shelter of each other that the people live.”
We have a guest stamper today! The Crusaders Patrol of our Boy Scout Troop met last night to make Valentine cards for their prayer partners and this was Caleb’s creation. He used the new “Wood You Be Mine?” stamp set. There are so many things that I like about this card… the blue hat, the radiating hearts, the choice of border colors, the rounded corners, the shading with colored pencils, the trees behind the sentiment, the placement of the sentiments on the interior of the card, the “Valentine” handwriting…I think Caleb may be a natural at this cardmaking craft! And maybe a natural at theatrics, too! (with a little help from his buddy Joseph) : )
And there is Joseph’s card in the center photo. He followed Calebs design for another award-winning card. A fun time was had by all! : )
“Give of your hands to serve and your hearts to love.”
This is one of the projects I worked on during the blizzard…packaged cards to give as gifts, and a few to sell to help pay for this rewarding hobby of ours! : ) Have a great day stampers, and safe travels to our friend Lorraine and all our stamping friends headed to Leadership in Orlando.
Ever in His peace, Dawn
“Love is really the answer. We’re here only to teach love. When we’re doing that, our souls are singing and dancing.”

Hope you were able to indulge in your fondest hobbies during the blizzard yesterday! I spent the entire afternoon making cards and then I was able to dive into the Feb. Paper Pumpkin Kit and make some of it’s cute treat bags! The kit makes a total of 24 bags. I have just loved every single kit that has come since last June. If you are interested in subscribing, just let me know and we’ll get you all signed up! Right now there is a special running, with $5.00 off and one free selection from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.
Thanks to our faithful blog reader, Nancy in New York, we have a great tip this morning. The tip originally comes from Cathy Perry and it is this…on the stamping up! ribbon spools there are four little lines on the back of the spool. If we clip these lines, the ends of the ribbon can be tucked through the line and it keeps the spool neat and tidy. Thank you for that great tip Nancy!
“There’s something beautiful about finding one’s innermost thoughts in another.”
Good Morning! Funny story…last week I was checking the weather forecast because we have the Boy Scout Klondike coming up this week-end (an outdoor event that requires snow) and there wasn’t a drop of snow in the forecast. I prayed to my mom in heaven…”mom, will you please intercede for us and try to move heaven and earth to get a little snow for the Klondike (and for Jonathan to plow).” I think she is in hysterics about right now during this blizzard! : ) And I say “thank you” for the snow with this fun card that I made with last months Paper Pumpkin kit! It came with the supplies for three thank you’s, three birthday’s and three hello’s. I used them for our children’s class and didn’t we have fun shaking up these stars and sequins. I had never made a shaker card before and now I’m hooked. They are so much fun!
Stay warm and happy stamping during the storm.

That’s what I hope to do during this upcoming blizzard…work ahead of the need and make up some birthday, sympathy and thank you cards! And then move on to some packages of cards to give as gifts. What do you plan to do? I’ll be thinking of you! xo Dawn

Happy New Year Friends! It’s been such a relaxing Christmas season, hope you felt the same. This morning begins our winter stamping sessions. Our Monday night and Tuesday morning/evening classes will begin next week. This month we will be making three thank you cards, including the one pictured here. Hope to see you!
