Merry Monday Challenge

Merry Monday Challenge 002

“Hanging the holly, trimming the tree, family & friends as close as can be.  Merry moments, sugar & spice…these are the things that make Christmas nice.”

That is the sentiment that is inside this “red and green” card made for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge at   Merry Monday puts out a Christmas card challenge every week and if we play along, we’ll have all our Christmas cards made by the time the holy days come again!  We made this Christmas Bauble tag at our Leadership gathering this past Saturday and as you can see, I haven’t had much practice with the Blendabilities.  But no matter, there is a problem with the Blendabilities and not me!  : )   Stampin’ Up! has discontinued them until further notice.  We heat embossed the ornament with gold embossing powder and then colored it.  There is a “To – From” on the back of the tag so that it may be detached and used on a gift.   I was trying to achieve a Victorian look with the Trim the Tree Paper Stack and the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.   The candy dots definitely aren’t “victorian”, but I didn’t know what to do with the white space on the right…it needed something for balance.  Any ideas?

  1. The link is on the blog post. I think you have to link your entry to a blog so people can comment, but I’m not totally sure. You can still play along without entering your card. Or, if you’d like to set up a blog, I can help you if you need it. It is free to do on Word Press.

  2. Love the partial embossing and paper with the ribbon separating it! Very elegant base for that pretty bauble! Thanks, for sharing this with us at Merry Monday!

  3. So glad to see your entry in our challenge. Your card is beautiful with the top embossed and the designer paper at the bottom. Thanks for joining Merry Monday!
