School Days

Sea Kayaking Trip 040

“If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe.”

~Carl Sagan

School begins tomorrow for my friends son in California…didn’t this summer go by at the speed of lightning!  I saw this cute little apple on a blog hop last week, made by Michelle Gleason, and I decided to make one for Joseph and for some of my local nieces and nephew for the first day of school.  I have some of Stampin’ Up!’s cute reindeer paper clips to put in them (they were on the sale rack a couple of weeks ago).  The apple was made with the Curvy Keepsake Box die.  The leaves are made with the new Vintage Leaves stamps and dies.  The ribbon is mossy meadow, as is the green cardstock and ink.

I hope you had a wonderful week-end.  We had a great time on our sea kayaking trip.  It’s a lot more strenuous than lake paddling!  Here’s our guide, Dave (who is also our neighbor), giving us some lobster trivia after we found a lobster trap washed up on a little beach that we stopped at to rest and to have a snack.  And there’s Joseph with his buddy, having a grand old time! : )

  1. Good Morning Dawn, Great lil’ apple box, what a treat! So happy you had a good trip. All I know about school starting up again is . . . DO NOT GO INTO STAPLES whatsoever. I made that mistake once!
    Have a great day.
    🙂
