“Bring forth the raisins and the nuts-Tonight All-Hallows’ Spectre struts, Along the moonlit way.”
~ John Kendrick Bangs
Happy All Hallows Eve from our home to yours! The treats are ready, including these cute treat bags made with last month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. The stamp set included gives stamps for Halloween and Thanksgiving, so these bags can be made for either holiday. Have fun tonight and as always, peacebewithyou! Happy Halloween!
“The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser – in case we thought optimism was dead.”
This is a project I made, by candlelight, this morning while our power was out! It is for the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP008 over at http://gobal-design-project.com/ which is a “Case the Designer” challenge this week. I was inspired by the colors, the Writing Notes stamp set, and the large circle to make a cute notepad cover! The project begins by scoring an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock at 5 1/4″ and 5 3/4″. I used the Morning Post Alphabet stamp set for the “NOTES”, and the Howl-A-Ween stamp set for the companionable owl. It’s funny where these challenges take me…way outside my box, that is for sure! : )
Thanks for the great challenge, Kylie and the Global Design Team!
“Hold on, man. We don’t go anywhere with “scary”, “spooky”, “haunted” or “forbidden in the title.”
This is the third card that we made at Stamping Classes this week. I wasn’t sure if this was a spider or cockroach stamp, but we are pretending it’s a spider coming down from it’s web, nonetheless. : ) This cute card is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from Brenda Cardinal. We didn’t have the super cute spider that she used, but used the next best thing that I had in my collection which was this cockroach/spider from the retired “Bite Me” Photopolymer stamp set. We also didn’t have the new black glitter paper that she used, so we used Basic Black Cardstock. Happy Trick or Treating!
“What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.”
Good Morning! This is the second of three cards (the first one was shown yesterday) that we are making at stamping classes this week. This is a card shown in the annual catalog, we’re just changing the base color to Tip Top Taupe, adding some gorgeous grunge and some sequins. The sentiment on the inside of the card is on white paper with rounded corners (we use the envelope punch board for that) and the sentiment is “you’re amazing!” from the Simply Wonderful Sale-A-Bration stamp set. The sentiment is stamped with Rich Razzleberry Ink. The grapes are colored with Blender Pens in Wisteria Wonder and shaded with Rich Razzleberry, the leaves are colored with Pear Pizzaz, accented with Old Olive, and the stem, banner and the “a” in Thanks -a- Bunch are colored with Tip Top Taupe. The grunge is stamped on both the base and the central image with Tip Top Taupe. The 4 1/4″ base card is embossed with the new Brick Wall Embossing Folder and the purple banner is made with the Farmers Market DSP (Designer Series Paper). Thanks a Bunch for stopping in, happy stamping, and always, peacebewithyou.

Good Morning Friends, and welcome back to Stamping Peace. Hope you had a nice weekend! This is one of the cards we will be making at card classes this week. I designed it using the new Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set. The musical notes at the bottom come from a retired set called Natures Pace. This card shines with the Gold Foil background, Gold Cord Bow, Gold Sequins and Gold Heat Embossing on the flowers! The sentiment on the inside says “So Grateful For You” from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. Hope you can make this card with us, or CASE (Copy and Share Everything) it and make it at home!
“As long as we live, there is never enough singing.”
We had a practice session last night for a campfire that our Boy Scout Troop is putting on for the Cub Scouts next week. Joseph wrote out three songs for his patrol to sing, and once again, our Stampin’ Up! stamps came in handy. This bloom from the Simple Stems stamp set really makes a boom for the fun “repeat after me” Chick-A-Boom” song! And the Baby Bumblebee stamp was just perfect for the Baby Bumblebee song. Great stamping Joseph! Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend and peacebewithyou! Dawn

Good Morning and thanks for stopping by here at Stamping Peace. Yesterday I had half an hour to sit at the table with a cup of pumpkin tea and watch the beautiful leaves fall from the trees in our back yard. I decided to color and make a “falling leaf” card with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. There is something very peaceful and relaxing about coloring! The photo below is the tree next to our garage…the foliage has been spectacular this year.
