Farewell El Faro

stamping classes cards 014

“A dreamer… it’s a mind that looks over the edges of things.”

~Mary O’Hara

We’ve said good-bye to the ship, hopefully we’ll say hello to some survivors.  My husband graduated from Maine Maritime Academy and now occasionally works on the ship there through his work.  He had seen two of the Mainers that were on El Faro down at the academy in the past.  We believe in miracles and are praying for one.

This is a Mary Fish card that we made at stamping classes last week.  This was my first try and isn’t the prototype we used, but I forgot to take a picture of the other one and have already sent it out!  We ended up using a wider stripe on the bottom, from Work of Art, and the rectangle was lowered a bit (this one is a little too high).  The original Mary Fish Card used the Washi Tape Stamps for the stripe.

Hope you had a nice weekend!  I had a big birthday (55), will have to find a picture to share when we meet again!  Believe, Dawn
