“There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved. It is God’s finger on man’s shoulder.”
~Charles Morgan
Good Morning from the glory of our backyard and Happy 32nd Anniversary to my hub today! I made the card above for him after making one for the Global Design Project #GDP006 with the sentiment going in the other direction:
The feathers on this card are a spoof on our next door neighbors insistence that he is an “angel”… these represent the feathers on his angel wings! I added the Softly Falling Embossing Folder to the white cardstock to continue the dots on the feathers from the “Four Feathers” stamp set. I added the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder to the black cardstock to continue the flow of the diagonal of the sentiment strip. The sentiment comes from the new “Six Sayings” Hostess stamp set. Hope you can play along this week at http://www.global-design-project.com/ See you over there! Peacebewithyou, Dawn
Happy Anniversary! Hope your day is as special as you two are!!
Thanks Sue, Tim took the day off so we can go to lunch! 🙂
Good Morning Dawn, Happy Anniversary to you and your hub.
The card is very nice, loving the contrast! I got this EF on Tuesday but didn’t get to use it yet. Love it on the diagonal.
Have a great day and weekend to celebrate!
🙂
Thanks Nancy, the Global Design Project is a lot of fun…something new and challenging every week! Happy Weekend to you, too! 🙂
Hi Dawn,
Firstly, Happy Anniversary – 32 years is pretty darn amazing! Congratulations.
Both cards are FaBOOlous (pun intended) and the black and white make for an elegant yet striking finish. Thanks so much for playing along with us this week over at the Global Design Project and making two gorgeous creations. xo
Thanks, Louise! I think the Global Design Project is pretty darn amazing, bringing people together from all over the world! So cool! 🙂
Dawn, I love your representation of the sketch. From the black and white palette to the feathers. I have to say, my favorite is the texture from the Softly Falling Snow. Thanks so much for playing along at Global Design Project.
Thanks Shawn! It’s funny how this card evolved. I started with the sentiment and it just grew from there. 🙂
