Farm Yard Fresh for #GDP007

“How can a man grow old who has sage in his garden?”

~Ancient Chinese Proverb

The challenge this week over at the Global Design Challenge is a theme challenge and the theme is “Farm”.  I don’t have any farm stamps, so decided to go directly to our backyard “farm” and package up some sage with the “Fresh Picked” stamp from the “From the Garden” stamp set .  It was perfect timing since we have been cutting and digging everything from our gardens this past weekend in preparation for the frosts and snow that hit us Saturday night and Sunday!  The tag was cut out with the Handpicked Framelit Dies.  I think this will make a cute Halloween treat for the adults in our neighborhood!   In the picture below you can see a piece of one of our vegetable gardens on the far right where the picket fences are.  Long live backyard farming!  : )  Hope you can add to the Farm theme this week over at http://www.global-design-project.com

  1. Hi Dawn, Frost already can you believe it?!
This is such a great idea for the adults. I’m sure it will inspire them all to cook! It looks great and is packaged so nicely too.
    🙂

  2. How lovely, Dawn! Such a simple wrap but so sweet and beautiful. The addition of the lace trim really rounds it all out. Wonderful use of the cello bag, too! I’m so happy you played along with this week’s Farm-themed challenge over at the Global Design Project!

  3. Dawn, this is a fabulous idea to make sure nothing goes to waste in your “backyard farm”. I love your simple idea of packaging, keeping the tag and embellishment to a minimum and letting the produce do the talking. Thanks for playing at Global Design Project this week ♥

  4. This is so precious! What a wonderful way of gifting your veggies! So thoughtful and makes it very special too. Love this idea Dawn. Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project challenge!
