#FabFri81 Stamping Challenge

“Adventure is worthwhile in itself.”

~Amelia Earhart

We’re adventuring into new waters today with the Fab Friday Stamping Challenge over at http://fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com.   It’s offered by a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators every other Friday.  This was a “frilly” design that I decided to take in a whole new direction.  Instead of a paper doily I substituted the Scallop Punch and instead of a flowery button I substituted a Compass Star from the Going Global Stamp Set.  The sentiment is heat embossed and is from the Best Day Ever stamp set.  I tried heat embossing it after I had used the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder on the Dijon strip, but then I tried heat embossing before dry embossing and that worked much better.  The black Compass Star Designer Series Paper is from the Going Places DSP Stack.  Cardstock Colors are Basic Black, Delightful Dijon and Very Vanilla.  Thanks, Fab Friday, for a fun challenge! Hope our Stamping Peacers and Blog Friends can play along. xo Dawn

  1. Oh, this is awesome – that sentiment looks so rich even over the embossing – I would never have thought to try hear embossing to help out there! And I love that you left off the “frills” – me, too, lol. Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

  2. I love these colors and the wonderful details on your card, Dawn! This is a great card – I love it! I’m so happy you played along with this FabFriday sketch challenge – I’m glad you did.
