“Every time I stand before a beautiful beach, its waves seem to whisper to me: If we choose the simple things and find joy in natures simple treasures, life and living need not be so hard.”
This beautiful beach is Sand Beach in Acadia National Park here in Maine. We visited it recently with our out-of-town guests. Hope you are having a wonderful summer!
The challenge this week over at http://www.global-design-project.com is a design challenge:
And this is my card:
“Find ecstasy in life – the mere sense of LIVING is joy enough.”
Good Morning and Welcome back to Stamping Peace! This week’s Case the Designer card over at http://global-design-project.com is so pretty but instead of a butterfly I wanted to try out the new pineapple stamp on the right side of my card. It’s going to someone who used to live in Hawaii! : )
“Nothing is dearer to an old father than a daughter.” – Euripedes
My dad, who is a champion candlepin bowler, turns 80 this week. I made this card for him and used the party theme from this week’s Global Design Project for inspiration. (www.global-design-project.com). Our computer is on the blink again (we keep losing internet connection), so it will be a miracle if I can get this post shared via my phone!
I made the candlepin bowling pins and bowling ball with the Work of Art stamp set. The words come from the Number of Years stamp set and the “80” is cut with the Large Numbers Framelits. The card bases are cut with the Circles Framelits. I wanted a round base to compliment the round bowling ball! Happy Birthday Dad! Love, Dawn
