“May your troubles be less and your blessings be more and nothing but happiness come through your door.”
~An Irish Blessing
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Hope everyone has some fun planned. We had some fun sending out a few St. Patrick’s Day Cards and some more fun finding out my brothers DNA results this morning…we are 32% Irish! A little history…Patrick wasn’t even Irish. He lived in Britain, on the Irish Sea, and at age 16 was captured, was sailed to Ireland and was sold as a slave. He worked six years as a sheep herder and then escaped and made his way back to Britain. After two years of travel he was reunited with his family and in a dream he heard “the voice of the Irish calling him to come and walk among them again.” He studied, became a priest and then a Bishop, sold all his worldly goods and sailed back to Ireland. And the rest is history! And this beautiful card has some history too, it’s the Irish flag, designed by Whitney, our friend and neighbor, for our last stamping class. We made the four leaf clover with Stampin’ Up’s Flower Punch. Thanks Whitney! Have a great day, stamping friends!
