“[We] can complain because roses have thorns, or [we] can rejoice because thorns have roses.”

Good morning stampers!  Yesterday I used the Detailed Floral Thinlit Die for the very first time, so I turned to the Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog for some direction.  I cased (copy and share everything) this design while changing the color, adding the vertical greeting and adding my friend Miss Pat’s watercolored rose.  My tip is to add the vertical greeting before you glue the designer paper down. (This is from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack).  I decided to add a vertical greeting after the card was finished and had to take the bow out in order to stamp.  It was quite a job trying to thread the ribbon back through when everything around it was glued down.  : )

Have a great day!  xo Peace, Dawn

    • Hi Brian! The sentiment is too low on the bottom but okay for a first try. 🙂 It’s going with the other cards I’ve made for Miss Pat for her “welcome to Maine” gift when she comes in May. 🙂

  1. Hi Dawn, I don’t have this die, but I could definitely see some DSP on either side of the vertical sentiment. Definitely going to try this soon. Stay warm and cozy. 🙂

    • Hi Nancy! I got this die for my friend Miss Pat to play with when she comes to Maine in May, so she can make some cards with her rose. 🙂 We’re staying warm, it’s been mighty cold up here! ❤
