Strawberry Jam Tag

Market Fresh, Acorny, Herb Tag 001

“But not alone at Christmastime comes holiday and cheer, for one who loves a little child has Christmas all the year.”

~Florence Evelyn Dratt

I have a goddaughter who just loves our homemade strawberry jam.  This one’s for her!  The jar is decorated with a silver doily, red glitter paper punched with a flower punch and the strawberries from the new Market Fresh stamp set.  I don’t know which was more fun…growing the strawberries, making the jam or decorating the jar! : )

~Frances Farmer

Good Morning!  I wanted to try out the new Watercolor Wings stamp set, so I made up some of these tags that are made in every color under the sun in the annual catalog.  These three are Blackberry Bliss, Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder.  The tags are made with the Scalloped Tag Topper (the new Ornate Tag Topper is used for the tags in the catalog).  Such a fun hobby that we have.

Another hobby that I have is gardening!  Below is a picture of the corner of one of our gardens (before a marathon weeding session this weekend!)  Hope you had a wonderful weekend.  : )

Happy Holiday Happy!

Christmas Tags 002

“Blessed are the happiness makers.”

~Henry Ward Beecher

This is another project from the new Holiday Catalog and the new stamp set “Mingle All the Way.”[p. 17]  The sentiments are colored with Stampin’ Up! markers.   I used the Alphabet Rotary Stamp [p.191 in the Annual Catalog (AC)] for the little nametag banners on the sides.  The heart is on the rotary, I just wiped off the Smoky Slate ink and filled in the heart with a Real Red marker.  The little pieces of DSP on the bottom of the tags are from the Moonlight paper stack [p. 185 AC].  The little red strips are scraps I had from old Christmas DSP.   I don’t have the 1/2” circle punch, so I used a regular paper punch for the circle on the top of the tag.  Have a wonderful holiday week-end!  Maybe we will all have some time to minister to someone with a home-made card.  : )

See the Sea Street!

Father's Day Card 010

“Every year of my life I grow more convinced that it is the wisest and best to fix our attention on the beautiful and the good, and dwell as little as possible on the evil and the false.”

~ Richard Cecil

See the Sea Street!  Say that three times fast!  : )   This is another little project that we made at our Stamping Peace Team Leadership Meeting last week-end.  We were trying out the new “Sea Street” stamp set with the lobster (so Maine-ish!) and nautical rope, and on the other tag we were trying out heat embossing (the gold stars) since some of our new demonstrators had not tried it before.  We used the tag topper punch and the new metallic bakers twine. (The “To” and “From” isn’t a stampin’ up! product and the red and blue stars are a retired product.)   The gold stars are from the new Project Life “Point and Click” set.  The cardstock is Midnight Muse (retired), Real Red and Whisper White.   Perfect little tags for summer gift-giving!  : )  Well, I can’t believe that a month has passed by already and it is time for stamping classes next week!  If you haven’t tried card-making, come play with us.  It’s a lot of fun!  Have a great week-end, Dawn
