“And we find at the end of a perfect day the soul of a friend we’ve made.”
~Carrie Jacobs Bond
This pretty wedding card was made by my very special neighbor and friend, Whitney. I’ve known Whitney all her life, even visiting her in the hospital when she was born! Whitney is an amazing young woman, having overcome many medical obstacles in her life. Yay, Whitney! She hosted my very first Stampin’ Up! event 2 1/2 years ago and we used the Embellished Events stamp set at her party, and now she is using the bells here on her card. Very pretty Whitney!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week-end!
“There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved.”
Recently we saw a wedding shower invitation made by our friend Sue Hayes…now she’s back with the card that she gave at the actual shower. Very clever, Sue!

“One cannot have too large a party.”
This is a shower invitation made by our very own Sue Hayes…one of our creative and talented Stamping Peace stampinistas! Sue used the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder. Beautiful, Sue!
“Just living is not enough,” said the butterfly, “one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.”
~Hans Christian Anderson
Well, I started with a little flower, but this card needed a big flower! I was so happy with the sponging (So Saffron) over the “En Francais” background stamp, that I didn’t want to start over, so I just topped the Simply Sketched Flower with a Tangerine Tango flower from Simple Stems. Next time I would use a sponge dauber to add some shading to the large flower (since I don’t own any Blendabilities markers yet). The Old Olive stem is also from Simple Stems. A little tip about sponging…I start on a piece of scrap paper and use circular motions to get the ink spread evenly onto the surface of the sponge. The sentiment is from a retired set called “From this Day Forward.”
This card I made for two Stamping Peace challenges. One is for the Stamping Peace Leaders…to make a “Love Storm” card for their spouse (and devise a clever way to deliver it). The challenge comes from a dare in my favorite magazine “MaryJanes Farm”…to create a love storm (any act of kindness or service). Can’t wait to hear the stories that will come with the cards! : ) The other challenge comes at the request of some of our Stamping Peace stampers who aren’t leaders. They wanted a challenge of their own. So, theirs is to make a card with a butterfly on it. For this card I used the Butterfly Sizzlet, with Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Ladies, if you don’t have a butterfly stamp or the butterfly sizzlet, you can pop one (or two or three!) out at class next week to take home with you. : ) Have fun stamping!
“There is no substitute for the comfort supplied by the utterly taken-for granted relationship.”
Good Morning! We went to an absolutely beautiful wedding this week-end…what did you do? I’ve shown this gift box that I made straight from a picture in the annual catalog, but here’s a little gift card that I made to go with the wedding gifts. And below is a matching gift bag. The two lovebirds are from the “This Day Forward” stamp set, and the stripes are from the “Perfect Pennants” stamp set. Have a stampin’ good day! Pax, Dawn
“Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction.”

This is the one stamp set I purchased from the retired list. We’re going to a wedding later this month, so I made this gift box from “This Day Forward.” The project is pictured in the old catalog (2013-14) on page 114. The image is stamped with Coastal Cabana, and then stamped with clear Versamark ink and clear embossing powder. For the heart I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to put the white watermarks on it. The sentiment is stamped with clear ink and gold embossing powder. Have a great week-end, friends!
