“Life delights in LIFE.”
This has been quite a week…I’ve been able to accomplish one card a day for a challenge. Unheard of, but I’m liking it! Todays card is for the Pals Paper Arts challenge over at http://palspaperarts.com/ The big bold paper from the Going Places Paper Stack required a big bold sentiment and the Keep Your Curiosity Fresh from the Adventure Awaits Stamp Set fit the bill perfectly…especially for April Fool’s Day! : ) Have a fun day, Dawn
“Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet.”
We had a little baby shower at our Monday night stamping class for one of our stampers who has daughters and is having a little boy next month. She has a nautical baby theme, so this is the card that I made. The paper is from the “Adventure Bound” paper stack. I heat embossed the sentiment with a stamp from the “Adventure Awaits” stamp set. Best wishes Johanna…we can’t wait to meet the little guy!
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”
I saw this design on Stampin’ Connection but after I made it, I wondered if it would look less traveled with just one bike? This is the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set and the sentiment is from the new Adventure Awaits stamp set. I used a white gel pen to make the lines around the edges.
It is school vacation week so I’m not sure how often we can get together this week. I’ll be working on the Cooking Merit Badge with Joseph…he has to plan, shop for and cook nine meals. He’ll also be serving a meal at the Salvation Army. I may be a little bit heavier when I return! : )
“Finish each day and be done with it. We have done what we could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as we can. Tomorrow is a new day. We shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with our old nonsense.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
I got the water right on this card…it’s not flowing up and down like it was on our card below! : ) This card has a clear window sheet behind the opening on the front, and the sentiment is stamped on the inside of the card…a great little porthole!
There was a problem with yesterday’s post…this was the card…
“Spring hangs her infant blossoms on the trees.
Rock’d in the cradle of the western breeze.”
Good Morning! This is another card with the new “Adventure Awaits” stamp set. It’s hard to see, but I used a white gel pen to cover up the glue lines. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder. It is for a forestry student from the University of Maine who has just joined the staff of our son’s landscaping company (on the lawn mowing arm of the company). I don’t think there are any bloopers on this card, and I was so excited to discover the perfect paper for a forestry student!
P.S. I just learned something…when you open a post, don’t click on the name of the picture, but on the name of the post. (Ha! I learn something new every day…) : )
“Adventure is worthwhile in itself.”
This is the new “Adventure Awaits” stamp set. We’ll be using it at next months stamping classes. I started playing with it yesterday and can you see the big blooper I made on this card, which was tweaked from a Patty Bennett design?
