“Follow what you love, and it will take you where you need to go.”
If you read my blog post yesterday, you know that I tried to move from thinking about snow to thinking about the warmth of summer. And then it turned around and snowed, hard, for two hours yesterday afternoon! It took us by surprise, not being forecast, but I was thankful for it only because it made me want to stop my chores and make a card. : ) I got adventurous and got out my sewing machine and tried the technique of sewing on a card. I’ve always wanted to try it and I think it was perfect for this little 4″ card. The plaid paper is from the Adventure Bound Paper Stack, the Embossing Folder for the top of the card is Houndstooth, and the stamp is from the Banner Blessings stamp set. I used a Retro Sketch as the inspiration for the card design.

Hi Stamping Friends! This weeks Global Design Project is a “Case the Designer” challenge, and this is my card:
It’s good to be back, I’ve missed you. Was out all last week helping our oldest son, Jonathan, set up for the Bangor Garden Show. This week I’ve been recovering…Jonathan WON the garden show, plus he got another award for “Best Use of Color.” The second place winners had a red and white striped carnival booth, I will send this card to them! This photo was a week ago Monday when we started setting up…
After four days it looked like this:
The theme of the show was “Carnival.” Jonathan and hubby built this “carnival cart”…
It was so nice to see all the flowers and the flowering bushes that Jonathan spent several months forcing in a greenhouse!
Thanks to everyone who was able to come down to see us at the show. If you weren’t able to stop by, hope you enjoy these pictures! xoxo Cheers, Dawn

Good Morning Friends. This is another card I made with the new “Vintage Leaves” stamp set. I saw a similar card on Pinterest, but made a few changes. I had planned to have the top layer lower, down near the sentiment, but I dropped it and couldn’t move it. So, I added the row of pearls! The sentiment is from a photopolymer set called “Banner Blessings”…a set of four Scripture verses. The little tag was punched with a punch that I received with some blog candy from Stamp with Bee…thank you Dianne! I inked the white bakers twine with mossy meadow ink…it’s a messy process, but it adds a great accent. Tip: let it dry for a few hours before adding it to a card! Have a great day, Dawn
