“We are each other’s HARVEST…we are each other’s MAGNITUDE and BOND.”
My friend Mimi made these cute sugar cone cornucopia’s for an event that we attended this weekend. The end is curled behind the tag made with a stamp from the Lighthearted Leaves set so that it really does look like a mini cornucopia. So cute! They were filled with fruit. Hope you had a nice weekend!

Good Morning Friends, and welcome back to Stamping Peace. Hope you had a nice weekend! This is one of the cards we will be making at card classes this week. I designed it using the new Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set. The musical notes at the bottom come from a retired set called Natures Pace. This card shines with the Gold Foil background, Gold Cord Bow, Gold Sequins and Gold Heat Embossing on the flowers! The sentiment on the inside says “So Grateful For You” from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. Hope you can make this card with us, or CASE (Copy and Share Everything) it and make it at home!

Good Morning and thanks for stopping by here at Stamping Peace. Yesterday I had half an hour to sit at the table with a cup of pumpkin tea and watch the beautiful leaves fall from the trees in our back yard. I decided to color and make a “falling leaf” card with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. There is something very peaceful and relaxing about coloring! The photo below is the tree next to our garage…the foliage has been spectacular this year.
“A dreamer… it’s a mind that looks over the edges of things.”
We’ve said good-bye to the ship, hopefully we’ll say hello to some survivors. My husband graduated from Maine Maritime Academy and now occasionally works on the ship there through his work. He had seen two of the Mainers that were on El Faro down at the academy in the past. We believe in miracles and are praying for one.
This is a Mary Fish card that we made at stamping classes last week. This was my first try and isn’t the prototype we used, but I forgot to take a picture of the other one and have already sent it out! We ended up using a wider stripe on the bottom, from Work of Art, and the rectangle was lowered a bit (this one is a little too high). The original Mary Fish Card used the Washi Tape Stamps for the stripe.
Hope you had a nice weekend! I had a big birthday (55), will have to find a picture to share when we meet again! Believe, Dawn

Good Morning and a special welcome to Cre8te Cards, a new blogging friend that has joined our Stamping Peace Family!
For this card, I wanted to try out the new Boho Chic Embossing Folder. Now the Marina Mist cardstock definitely makes a statement! I used the Work of Art stamp set to create this background for the leaf, stamped in Sahara Sand. I wasn’t satisfied with that blank white area on the right, so I stamped the whiteness away before sending this card off with a charitable donation for a friends cause! (but didn’t get a photo). I had seen this leaf layout on http://www.seanstamps.com/, his was purple and pink with a watercolor wash background and a different sentiment. His base was purple, but not embossed. I am really liking this embossing folder! It’s hard to see in the photo, but the leaf and the sentiment are both heat embossed in gold.

This was another card that we made at stamping classes this week. It’s a Mary Fish design that I changed from white, black and red to vanilla, black and Dijon. I also changed the fold from the top to the left. The leaves are colored with a chalk marker. Everyone chose different sentiments for the inside of the card, I chose “Celebrate Today.” Thanks for stopping by, hope you have time to stamp a little piece of yourself for someone today! Cheers, Dawn
“The heart of autumn must have broken here, and poured its treasure out upon the leaves.” ~ Charlote Bates
We’ll be “adult coloring” this leaf and making this card at our stamping classes this morning, tonight and tomorrow morning. It’s a card that Stampin’ Up! convention goers were able to make this summer. Since we weren’t able to go to convention this year, convention is coming to us! Hope you can join us, we have two openings for tonight’s class. xo Dawn
