Feast Card for As You See It Challenge #196

“We are born to love, we live to love, and we will die to love still more.”

~St. Joseph

Happy Feast of St. Joseph! This is my second post today.  I wanted to make a card to celebrate today’s solemnity. (A Solemnity is a “high feast” in the Church).  A symbol for St. Joseph is a staff growing lilies out the top, so I wanted to try to reproduce that.  I think we came close?  This is the inside of the card:

I used the color challenge from this week’s As You See It Challenge at http://www.asyouseeitchallenge.com for this card.  Last week I was chosen as their Featured Artist with a Lent card I had made…that was a fun surprise! Thank you, As You See It!  This is the current challenge, which lasts for two weeks:

If you have time to play with it, have fun!

Happy 6th Stampin’ Up! Birthday!

“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows.”

~Helen Keller

My 6th Birthday with Stampin’ Up! is this month, and what better gift than three new team members!!!  A warm welcome to Nancy, Marti and Gloria! ❤   And welcome to all who have joined our blog family this past month!

We made this simple and sweet card yesterday at card class.  We were trying out the new Rectangle Stitched Dies…how did we craft without them!!! The stamp set is the new Amazing Life set from the new Occasions Catalog.  Such a versatile set! (Concentrate on the cute cake and we won’t see the gray shadow on the card…TOO much sunshine in the room when I took the photo.)  : )

Hope you have a great weekend with some stamping fun!
