“Respect your elders.”
All of my downline are my friends and elders, and they teach me much more than I can ever teach them! This card was made by Mimi, for a downline challenge we are having in the month of May using retiring products. Mimi’s beautiful card uses the retiring Too Kind Stamp Set. I watched her make it last night using a MISTI (Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented). It’s amazing! (the tool, and the card!) : ) This card uses retiring Strawberry Slush ink and cardstock. The larger flower images were stamped off once before they were stamped so they appear lighter in color. The darker, smaller flower images on top of the larger images are stamped with full juice. Thank you for sharing a beautiful card Mimi, and Happy May Day friends!
“What do girls do who haven’t any mothers to help them through their troubles?”
~Louisa May Alcott
In response to that quote I would have to say, “we thank God for sending us friends!” My friend Mimi went on a trip recently and brought me home a little gift from Teavana, all decorated up with this beautiful tag that she made. Thank you so much Mimi. The tea is divine! The tag was cut out with the oval framelits and the pumpkin was punched with the oval punch. The pumpkin pieces are embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. The flowers are stamped with the “Too Kind” stamp set and the greens are stamped with the “Summer Silhouettes” stamp set. Such a beautiful tag, Mimi!
“Friends, they are kind to each other’s hopes. They cherish each other’s dreams.”
My friend Mimi made me this card a couple of weeks ago with the “Too Kind” stamp set. It did say “You’re Too Kind” until it was splashed with dishwater from the kitchen sink. Mimi is so good at combining colors…thank you Mimi! : )
This is an assortment of cards that two of our Stamping Peace demonstrators donated for the Ronald McDonald House. Katherine made the purple one up in the left-hand corner, and Terry made the others. Everyone was so generous in donating cards. I’m finally going to get them mailed out today. Is it just me, or are there just not enough hours in the day? : ) I’ve been helping my son’s Summersweet Landscaping business with a Children’s Garden that they are installing down on the riverwalk in our city, so I haven’t had time for any stamping this week! There are two out of the four sections planted. It’s going to be such a burst of color and I love the rock paths (and the rocks!) that they have added. Today it is raining, so I’m hoping to have some stamping time this afternoon. Yay! : )
