Wishing You Well, Take Two : )

“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”

When I posted earlier I realized I had gotten Brian Kings layering design wrong, so I had to go and fix it.  THIS is what the layers should look like!  xoxo

Wishing You Well

“When ‘i’ is replaced by ‘we’, even ‘illness’ becomes ‘wellness.'”

I’m a fan of Brian King’s layering style, and this card draws on one of his recent creations over on stampwithbrian.com.   I just went back and looked at his card because this one just didn’t look like I remembered in my head, and his green borders are thinner…that makes all the difference in the world.  Oh, so much to learn, but we’ll get there!  : )

This morning I needed a quick and easy card to send to a friend who was recently hospitalized, so I pulled out the “Wishing You Well” stamp set for the first time. (Brian’s card was a totally different stamp set).  The bow is just gorgeous with it’s light and dark shades!  There is a little flower stamp to add to the spray, but I just drew in some cherry cobbler “berries.”  The cherry cobbler background was given some texture with the “Subtle” embossing folder.  The base of the card is gray granite and the green is shaded spruce.  Have a beautiful day, we’re off to the post office!  xo Dawn
